Google Takeout
Google Drive-using seniors and students/staff leaving the district should look at downloading the documents that they have accumulated while at AISD.
With Google Takeout, students and staff can archive their Google Drive, Google Blogs, Hangouts and more. The process will create an archive of all documents and convert them to the appropriate Microsoft Office format. The archive can be downloaded from the user’s email and uploaded back to a personal Google Drive, cloud storage or saved on an external storage device.
Google Take Out is available for all AISD students and teachers.

How to Archive Your Total AISD Google Content:
Login to the AISD Cloud at http://my.austinisd.org and open your Google Drive. Make sure you see your @stu.austinisd.org (students) Google ID, or @austinisd.org (teachers) Google ID.
In a new tab, go to https://www.google.com/settings/takeout . Select the Google products that you wish to archive. You can use the menu (open with caret v) option next to the toggle button to select subsets of data from that product. Click Next.
You can try different settings, but leaving File type as .zip and Delivery method as email will have an email sent to your AISD email account when the archive is completed and ready to be downloaded. This could take several minutes, hours or days depending on how much you are archiving. Click Create Archive.
If your archive becomes ready while the window is open, you will be able to click the Download button to download the zipped archive to your computer. Clicking the link from the email notification will show you the archives you have created and download buttons for each.
The zipped archive can be opened and uploaded to another Cloud service or stored on an external device.
***Teachers, if you are leaving the district and have been sharing documents in your Drive with other teachers, you should consider making someone else the owner of the documents before you leave. If you are the owner, those documents will eventually be deleted when your AISD user account is closed and those that you shared it with will no longer have access to those documents.
