E-RESOURCES

Students & Staff should access AISD databases, eBooks, audiobooks, and many other digital resources through the MackinVia app in the AISD Portal. The single-sign-on function of the portal ensures you can access resources easily without additional passwords. This page is mostly for information purposes. Some links are provided where applicable.

eBooks & Audiobooks

EBOOKS and AUDIOBOOKS allow you to read great books on any internet-connected device. You can also download them for off-line viewing/listening. You can use the bookmark, notes, and search features to help you if you are needing to annotate. A variety of titles gives you great options for both informative and entertaining reading. You can adjust the type, color, single or two-page layout, etc. You can also use the text-to-voice or leave it off when reading an eBook.  The best audio is found in Audiobook format.

Databases, Encyclopedias, and Online Newspapers

We have dozens DATABASES and other REFERENCE resources in MackinVIA to help you with research for academic and personal exploration.

Select "Digital Resources" in the menu at left. Scroll through to select your desired resource. You can also do a broad search in the "Search Inside Databases" search bar at the top right of the page.
Each database has great tools to help you search content, hone your results, and save your selections. Visit with your campus library staff to get help!

There's More for You...

AISD students also have access to many more resources, such as the Statesman Archives, available through the Austin Public Library (students have an APL account). Need help with your APL student account?
